Un cuadro para aquellos con una pila de libros pendientes más larga que su propia vida. En «La lectora», el espectador observa un jardín descuidado que ahora trepa sobre ruinas y ventanas de antaño. Se avecina una tormenta y el viento arrecia. Las hojas crujen al acercarse a las ventanas principales. Como si surgiera de la niebla, aparece una aparición. Es una chica... una lectora nata. Parece sentirse cómoda allí, familiarizada con el lugar como si hubiera estado allí mucho antes de que cayera en el abandono. Desapareciendo y reapareciendo, el fantasma permanece imperturbable ante la naturaleza y la tormenta que se avecina. Su único propósito en este mundo es terminar su pila de libros. Nosotros, como espectadores, contemplamos un espectro de mundos más allá de su alcance.

As soon as I saw this painting and the other two reader paintings with similar windows, I knew I had to create the trio of reader window paintings and sure enough, it is absolutely breathtaking. I LOVE these three individually and especially together. I find myself often getting lost gazing at these paintings instead of reading. Just recently added the fourth Reader in her magical library basement below. This is the 10x20
As a reader, nothing compares to the feeling of picking up a good book and being transported into a new world. Unfortunately for most of us, we have too many books on our shelves and just not enough time to read them. It’s heartbreaking in its own way. To have a painting that PERFECTLY represents that in the most beautiful visual makes me want to cry every time I look at it. Olivia is UNBELIEVABLY talented. I have five prints of hers already and this one is my absolute favorite. JUST BUY IT!!!
I finally purchased "The Reader" and was super happy with it! Looks better in person and I got a great frame to match! Looks great in my office where I hang all kinds of different art. It fits right in and i can't wait to decorate around it

I bought this print to go in my reading room and it goes perfectly! I also bought “high lord” which go perfectly together
