Originally meant as a study for another work, Excalibur was wrought from an afternoon experimenting with ink, watercolor and pencil. The focus was the grip of the hand, and the weight of the sword. This piece is meant to envoke feelings of power, strength, and determination to hoist the sword above the surface.
